Flight International issue 9-15 September 2008 look an image of showing Bombardier's CRJ1000 first flight as posted on the Runway Girl blog and have a look at a picture of a frog in aircraft window taken by a passenger on a Turkish Airlines' Airbus A320 from Moscow to Istanbul. The aircraft's journey before the Istanbul-Moskow flight, was from Adana, a big city in the southern Mediterranean region of Turkey where, apparently, tons of live frogs are sent to Japan and China to star in restaur

After landing at Istanbul Ataturk Airport, staff at THY Technic went in search of the passenger's amphibean pal. every side walls of the aircraft were released but the frog was eventually found dead probably due to high cabin pressure and dry air. The aircraft's journey before the Istanbul-Moscow flight, was from Ad

Frog In Aircraft Window
Not something you look every day. This little amphibian was spotted in a window of a Turkish Airlines' Airbus A320 in July during a flight from Moscow to Istanbul. A passenger quickly snapped this shot before he slid back in to the side wall. The frog was between the pressurized outer window and the inner cabin pane. After landing in Istanbul mechanics tore through the aircraft but could find no sign of the little guy. Earlier in the day the aircraft started out in the Turkish city of Adana whic

Back from Ankara
You know that it’s been over ten days since the last update on this blog and such a suspension has not happened to it to now, but as I had described before, it was every predictable for me. Since the beginning of my military service I’ve had a gradual aggravating process in my life that has been putting me below a pressure both mentally and physically. At first glance, I expected to be able to have a better position as time goes on, but I was wrong because time proved to worsen things especially

Gam and Sarah's Coolangatta trip, part 1
Hanging out close the car-park-with-a-view while waiting for Gam on Wednesday. We couldn't check in until 2pm so Gam went to training and I hung around and read a book. Gam and I are currently staying in Coolangatta, where he is attending a training programme for work. His work has put him up at 'Calypso Plaza', a centrally-located motel/resort thingummy close to the beach. In one of the cheapo rooms, mind. It's nice and clean, but there's a few little thing that niggle... like the fact that t

Gam and Sarah's Coolangatta trip, part 2
Now we receive some nice weather- when we're leaving! Yesterday we got turkish pizza for lunch again- its name was 'kiymali' or something- lamb mince with capsicum glue, spices and chilli on that delicious crisp, chewy base, served with a couple of wedges of lemon. Mmmhmmm. We also went to dinner at a place called 'Farley's', on Marine Parade (i.e. the road along the beach), with a couple of Gam's workmates who live on the Gold Coast. It was nice to finally meet some of the people I'm always he

TOKYO ZOMBIE (2005) - Tadanobu Asano in a funny wig
TOKYO ZOMBIE(2005, Japan)Finally got to look this, now that it’s been released in the UK on region 2 DVD. It’a shock to look Tadanobu Asano in an afro wig in a zombie comedy - his latest appearance is as the young Genghis Khan in the first instalment of epic Russian trilogy, Mongol!I always think of Tadanobu Asano as appearing in slightly quirky, quality drama (Zatoichi), with some offbeat arthouse (Invisible Waves, The Last Life in the Universe) and the occasional offbeat horror (Gemini). But I g

Mavi Boncuk |Deputy national security adviser James F. Jack's Bakery (5)/5) on Yelp.com
Jack's Bakery Category: Bakeries 5 star rating 09/12/2008 This is definitely not a restaurant, but if you wish to devour your order there you can at one of the 3 tiny tables available. I ordered an Armenian pizza, kuftas, and one of those half moon pizza looking things with an egg on top. I have no clue what they're called, but they remind me of (and look like) 'boerek' which I've had at Moishe at the Farmers Market in Los Angeles. After reading the reviews here I was below the impre

St Bride Letterpress Day The twenty-six soldiers of lead are on the march
There were pictures of proofing presses in studios, giant Wharfdales in barns, Heidelberg cylinders in converted railway arches and lots of type (as over), writes Simon Esterson. St Bride’s celebration of letterpress in London on 7 November was as much about an enthusiasm for the physical technology as a passion for typography. It felt like a coming home: the St Bride Library is the spiritual home of printing history in Britain. As well as a day of sold-out lectures there were printing demonst

Lyon Day Two
Sharing random images from my Sunday walk around Lyon's City Centre (Old Lyon). The ferris wheel. I realised/confirmed my fear of heights when I took this ferris wheel. The view from the top, however, is spectacular. Worth the scare. 6 euros per person. =))Bartholdi's fountain. I chanced upon this fountain when I accidentally lost my way and ended up at some hidden square.
